US-based Garmin has launched a smart scale as a new connected wellness tool for fitness enthusiasts and athletes. This device is named Index S2 and is equipped with several health measurement features like — weight, body fat percentage, body mass index (BMI), body water percentage, bone mass and skeletal muscle mass ratio. The body fat percentage index shows the percentage of stored and essential fat. It comes with a weight trend graph feature that keeps record of the change in weight for a long time and has a colour display. It supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and claims to display total biometric data of the user. This device can also be connected to the Garmin Connect app to track the change in your body weight and several other health-related data.

This smart scale from Garmin is available at a price of Rs 15,999 and will be available in two colour options — White and Black. This smart scale has a weight limit of 181.4-kilograms and offers data about body water percentage, body mass index, bone mass and skeletal muscle mass ratio. It also keeps the user updated regarding the regular day-to-day weight variations.
The device weighs around 2-kilograms and the retail box includes four AAA batteries to keep it powered. Garmin claims that this smart scale will deliver a battery-life of nearly 40 weeks.
