Joshua, who is currently the WBA (super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion, will be making his third consecutive defense of his titles. Usyk, who was previously the undisputed cruiserweight champion, is making his third appearance at heavyweight.

Despite rumors of Joshua dropping weight ahead of the showdown with Usyk, the 31-year-old hit the scales at 240 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in, the same weight he fought at in his impressive title defense against Kubrat Pulev back in December.

The 34-year-old challenger came in at 221 pounds, the heaviest he’s ever fought at yet still 19 pounds lighter than Joshua.

Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk live updates, highlights

(All times Eastern)

3:02 p.m.: Up now is Campbell Hatton, son of former champion Ricky Hatton, taking on the rugged Sonny Martinez. Through three rounds it’s been Martinez picking Hatton apart. Hatton (3-0) is game and trying to keep his undefeated record intact but he’s having a hard time figuring out Martinez.

2:22 p.m.: Oh my goodness. That was scary. Callum Smith’s light heavyweight debut was a successful one, albeit a frightening finish as he uncorked a vicious right hand that put Lenin Castillo down and out in the second round. Castillo hit the canvas hard and his body immediately short-circuited. He’s currently getting medical care and has been down for several minutes. They are now stretchering him out of the ring. Scary moments.
