Toss India chose to bat vs Bangladesh

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur called it right at the toss and opted to bat first in the third and final T20I against Bangladesh in Mirpur.
Having wrapped up the series, India decided to hand an international debut to Uttar Pradesh left-arm spinner Rashi Kanojiya. She replaced fellow left-arm spinner B Anusha in the XI from the previous game. India also brought in legspinning allrounder Devika Vaidya for Harleen Deol. Deol batter at No. 6 in the second T20I and was dismissed for 6. She did not get a chance to bowl in both games.

Kanojiya has been a consistent performer for UP in the domestic circuit. She picked up 19 wickets across T20 competitions in the 2022-23 season. She was part of the Harmanpreet-led Supernovas in the Women’s T20 Challenge in 2022 but found no takers in the Women’s Premier League [WPL] auction.

Bangladesh opted to bring in Dilara Akter, the wicketkeeper-batter who played the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup earlier this year, for Sobhana Mostary, who was out concussed in the previous game. They reposed faith in the rest of the batting line-up and the bowlers, who helped keep India to 95.

India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead and will be eyeing for a clean sweep.
