Insta360 has revealed that it will be launching a new product next week. According to a teaser on its official website, the device is hinted to be an action camera similar to those offered by GoPro, but presumably in a smaller form factor.

As expected, the company did not provide any further details regarding its new camera, though the included video suggests that it will feature either an ultra-wide or Insta360’s signature 180-degree lens. Other noteworthy features highlighted include mentions of its “tiny” form factor, its ability for it to be mounted on a surface or subject, as well as being controlled from afar via an accompanying remote. Additionally, the clip also revealed that the device will come with a rear LCD screen.

Based on the teaser, it appears that the upcoming product could be the first of its kind from Insta360, as the company has yet to release a more traditional action camera as part of its offerings. As most of us are familiar with by now, the closest device that matches this description is its X-series and the highly customisable ONE RS. However, some are also speculating that the upcoming camera could be a successor or spinoff of the brand’s GO series, which does make sense as the major highlight of that particular line-up is their small form factor.

Nevertheless, we’ll only find out more about Insta360’s new device when it launches next week on Tuesday, 27 June 2023. The event will be streamed live via the brand’s official website and YouTube channel at 9pm local time.
