Guwahati: BJP President J.P. Nadda on Saturday said that after Narendra Modi became Prime minister in 2014 real development of India began and Modi has changed the destiny of India.

Nadda on Saturday addressed rallies in Tripura’s Santir Bazar and Arunachal Pradesh’s Namsai. Nadda said that the NDA government headed by Modi nine years ago ended the non-governance, corruption raj and non-performance.

He said Congress party means corruption, commission, no-governance, policy-paralysis, family raj, failure of law and order while CPI-M means looting of government funds, lawlessness, depriving political rivals and nepotism.

Nadda said, “After the Modi government came to power in 2014, Rs 22 lakh 40 thousand crore directly transferred to the beneficiaries account saving lakhs of rupees from being siphoned in the mid-way,” he said.

Nadda arrived in Tripura capital Agartala on Friday and held meetings with the Chief Minister Manik Saha, state party President Rajib Bhattacharjee.

Nadda said that over 37,000 km railway lines have been electrified and 74 new airports were constructed while since India’s independence there were only 72 airports in the country. Seven more airports connecting all north eastern state capitals have already been made, taking the total number of operational airports in the northeast region to 17.“After Modi became Prime Minister in 2014, real development of India began and during the nine years the country has witnessed unprecedented development under Prime Minister Modi. He has changed the destiny of India,” Nadda added.Nadda said that to protect the international borders of India 13,125 km of border roads have been built and added that Rs 18 lakh crore has been spent for infrastructure building from 2014 to 2022. “India’s inflation is much lower than that of developed countries such as the US, the UK, Australia and Italy.The country’s inflation stands at 4.2 per cent compared to 4.9 per cent in the US and 8.7 per cent in the United Kingdom”.
