An in-house group will also be formed which will take care of litigation issues related to the Sangh and its ideology, sources said.
According to the blueprint prepared for expanding the work of the ABAP, five new groups will be set up under it which include – outreach, organisation, litigation, think tank, international conventions and social issues.
A team of lawyers ideologically associated with the Sangh will be set up to carry out outreach activity among lawyers, especially judiciary to apprise about the organisation and its commitments towards the society, they said.
A full-time organisation structure will also be strengthened at the district level. An in-house group of lawyers will be assembled under the group ‘Litigation’ that will take care of all the cases related to the Sangh, its leaders and issues closer to its ideology like in the case of Ram temple.
Similarly, established lawyers will be assembled under the group ‘Think Tank’ to study the ideologically crucial matters such as the UCC and same-sex marriage. This group of lawyers will also study various laws and share their feedback with the political authorities as and when suited, they said.As of now, there are several groups under the ABAP which include ‘Nyaya Kendra‘ that provides free legal aid, ‘Legal Awareness‘ that spreads awareness about legal issues, ‘Public Interest Litigation‘ which handles litigation on issues close to Sangh.
After the Ram Janambhoomi case, it has been felt that a more organised and established in-house legal team should be established to handle ideological issues in courts, sources said.
At the same time, with various decisions and matters being challenged in courts, it has been felt to step up the outreach in the legal fraternity from top to bottom so that the Sangh doesn’t face any perception challenges in court cases.
