PITCH REPORT – Nasser Hussain is pitchside and he says that the weather is really nice for cricket. Adds that at this time on Day 1, it was cloudy but it is sunny right now. Mentions that it was tough to bat early in the first session but got easier through the day. He is joined by Kumar Sangakkara who claims that it is easy to get strayed by the heavy cover of grass but it is tufty and with the indentations on the pitch, it is likely to hold the ball. Adds that it caused the ball to sit up early in the game and as the game progressed it stayed a bit low. Reckons that on Day 3, Day 4, and Day 5 it will spin as it is dry under all the grass. Ends by saying that Ravindra Jadeja will try to target the rough and with the Australian pace bowlers pounding on the pitch, the spinners will definitely come into play with footmarks to play with.
