The Honor 50 series is its first set of major smartphones since the company was sold by Huawei. Comprised of the Honor 50 Pro, the vanilla Honor 50 and the Honor 50 SE, each smartphone is designed for a different market segment.

Honor 50 Pro

Its flagship in the lineup is the Honor 50 Pro. Here, you 6.72-inch FHD+ curved OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the show is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset alongside a 4000mAh battery. The latter offers an eye-watering 100W wired charging, taking the phone from 0-100 per-cent in just 25 minutes. But this also means there is no wireless charging support here.

Sporting quite a flashy rear design, this is also where you see find the unique camera design. It is a quad-camera setup here with a primary 108MP 1/1.52-inch sensor capable of nona-binning for shots comparable to a 12MP 2.1-micro pixel camera. Alongside, you find an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and 2MP sensors for macro shots and depth effects. Honor is also confident that the front facing cameras on the Honor 50 Pro can be used for selfies and videos. You find a 32MP primary camera alongside a 12MP secondary wider sensor with a 100-degree field of view.

Honor 50

The standard Honor 50 shares a lot of the Honor 50 Pro’s hardware. It sports the same Snapdragon 778G chipset and rear camera setup. Its 6.57-inch FHD+ OLED display though is slightly smaller and comes only with one 32MP selfie camera. Despite the smaller size, the vanilla Honor 50 packs a larger 4,300mAh battery with 66W wired charging, topping up to 100 per-cent in 45 minutes.

Honor 50 SE

With the Honor 50 SE, you find the most affordable device in the segment. It sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ LTPS LCD display, a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chipset and a 4,000mAh battery with 66W charging. As for optics, you find a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro lens accompanied by a 16MP seflie shooter.
