Although he may have recently fallen just short of winning his third straight NBA MVP Award, no one in the world is playing better basketball right now than Nikola Jokic. 

In Tuesday night’s Western Conference Finals Game 1 matchup with LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers, The Joker was otherworldly, racking up a monstrous 34-point, 21-rebound, 14-assist triple-double in Denver’s 132-126 win. Jokic was simply dominant from the start with his most absurd highlight of the night being a desperation 29-foot heave that even left Anthony Davis smirking. That said, given that the Lakers almost came back and snuck out a W in the fourth quarter, they should have all the confidence in the world going into Game 2, which takes place Thursday night on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. ET.
