Speaking of colour options, several excitement announcements for the Taigun were made as well. A matt exterior finish has been unveiled for the Taigun GT line. Moving forward, even the Taigun GT will now be available in a 6-speed manual transmission option alongside the DSG automatic. The Taigun GT Plus manual transmission will be available in the new matt finish as well.

Both the Virtus GT Plus and the Taigun GT Plus will feature the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, TSI EVO engine that produces 147 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Volkswagen hopes that the GT Plus manual variants will attract both performance oriented and economy aware customers to its INDIA 2.0 models and join the fold. The manual variants can be expected to be priced slightly lower than the GT DSGs, however, no announcement regarding prices has been made yet. However, the automaker has confirmed that these models will be launched in the beginning of June 2023.
