Google rolls out Clear Calling feature for Pixel 7 series

Google unveiled the Pixel 7 series smartphones after a three years gap. The smartphones were launched alongside the Pixel Watch which happens to be the company’s first-ever smartwatch.
The tech giant rolled out a new feature called ‘Clear Calling’ (launched during the ‘Made by Google’ event) as part of its recent beta update for the Pixel 7 series. This feature is designed to improve the call clarity on the devices.
The feature could be downloaded via the Android 13 QPR1 (Quarterly Platform Release) beta 3 software update.
According to a report by Android Authority, Google also unveiled some new software features coming for its latest Pixel 7 series.
What is Clear Calling feature and how does it work?
According to a blogpost by Google, the Clear Calling feature, “automatically filters out background noise and enhances the voice on the other end of the line with machine learning, making it easier to hear the person on the other end of the line, even when they are walking on a windy street or dining in a noisy restaurant.”
Availability
Once updated to Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3, users can find the Clear Calling feature in their Sound settings. To enable Clear Calling, go to Settings>Tap on Sound and Vibration>browse Clear Calling. Toggle the Clear Calling option on or off when you enter the page.
In order to use the Clear Calling feature, users will have to Sign up for Google’s beta program Since this is an unstable version, there can be some bugs and errors in this update, the reports said.
