SHIMLA: Amid the claims of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) that following Arvind Kejriwal’s Mandi road show, a worried BJP is going to change its chief minister Himachal Pradesh, BJP has given a major setback to AAP by inducting its state president and organizational secretary in party. Just two days after Arvind Kejriwal’s road show in Mandi town, AAP’s Himachal Pradesh president Anoop Kesari, Organization General Secretary Satish Thakur and Una president Iqbal Singh joined the BJP.
These three joined BJP in New Delhi in the presence of BJP president J P Nadda and Union Minister Anurag Thakur. With this, AAP has received major setback in the state where it intends to contest assembly election on all 68 seats this time.
Announcing this through a social media post, Anurag Thakur has posted that hills and people of hills will not fall into the trap of Arvind Kejriwal. He further wrote that AAP’s Himachal Pradesh president Anoop Kesari, general secretary (organisation) Satish Thakur, and its Una president Iqbal Singh have joined the BJP against the anti-Himachal policies of AAP. He said that AAP had forfeited deposit on all seats in the assembly election of Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh is also ready to repeat the same.
J P Nadda in a while would arrive in Shimla to start his four days tour of Himachal Pradesh and on Saturday he will hold a road show in Shimla to launch party’s campaign for the elections of Shimla Municipal Corporation and Assembly election.
After a massive victory in Punjab, now AAP is eyeing Himachal Pradesh and has announced to contest on all 68 seats in the assembly. AAP has already announced that its contest with BJP. But party so far no mass leader from Himachal Pradesh and it relying heavily on Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann.
Last month AAP had appointed Delhi health minister Satyendra Jai as its election incharge for Himachal Pradesh while Satender Tongar was appointed as the Organisational Secretary. In all, eight members team was appointed to look after the preparation for the coming assembly election.Times News Network
