Congratulations to the Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team for winning its fourth championship.
Bill Self’s squad was able to overcome a 16-point deficit against North Carolina in order to pull off the greatest comeback in national title game history. The Jayhawks were down 15 at halftime but shot out of the gate in the second half with a 31-10 run. It was a back-and-forth game from there. Kansas forward David McCormack scored the final four points for KU to give the Jayhawks a 72-69 lead. Despite having a few chances, UNC could not get a game-tying triple to fall, giving Self his second championship as Kansas head coach.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. Senior forward Ochai Agbaji was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, the honor that the NCAA awards to the best player from that year’s tournament. So with that in mind, how many since 1979 on the men’s side can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
