When contacted, a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement, “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”

No sooner than the outages impacted the services, users started complaining on micro-blogging site Twitter about the disruption in services.
Officials in the social-media giants said that urgent steps are being taken to sort out the issue at the earliest.
