JAKARTA, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) — The number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 1,690 within one day to 4,215,104, with the death toll adding by 113 to 141,939, the country’s Health Ministry said on Thursday.

According to the ministry, 2,848 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of patients recovering from COVID-19 to 4,037,024.

On Thursday, Indonesia received 796,800 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from the Italian government through the COVAX Facility multilateral scheme.

To date, at least 51.11 million people in the country have received two shots of vaccines, while 91.07 million have taken the first doses, the ministry added.

The Indonesian government is targeting to vaccinate 208.26 million people.
