Shortly after Brooks Koepka finished his Ryder Cup singles match on Sunday, he went around to his fellow teammates to congratulate them on their Ryder Cup win. One of those teammates happened to be Bryson DeChambeau, who he famously has a feud with.

The two American teammates shocked golf fans when they embraced in a quick hug. Was this a truce for the two golfers?

The moment of celebration for these two was caught on camera during the NBC broadcast, which led commentator Dan Hicks to express his excitement over the hug: “Only the Ryder Cup could have made this happen,” Hicks said.

Team USA captain Steve Stricker decided not to have the two play together this week even though they made it clear their feud was a “non-issue.” Stricker also claimed that the two wanted to play together heading into this week.

Leading up to the Ryder Cup, DeChambeau was very vocal about wanting the feud to be over between him and Koepka. While their conversations off the course are unknown, their hug might have shown fans that they are ready to move on.

The embrace got a lot of attention on Twitter after fans became hopeful of their future alliance.

While DeChambeau and Koepka both won their matches on Sunday, DeChambeau’s match finished fourth and helped push Team USA to victory. Koepka’s win came after Team USA knew they had won. After going 0-3-0 in 2018, DeChambeau went 2-0-1 this year. Koepka went 2-2-0 this year.
