JAKARTA, July 14 (Xinhua) — Indonesia on Sunday called on the international community to take firm action to hold Israel accountable for its actions against the Palestinian people.
The Southeast Asian country made the call in a Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement released after a recent attack by Israeli forces on Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, in Southern Gaza.
“International law applies to all countries without exception,” said the ministry in the statement, describing Israel’s attack as “brutality and massacre.”
In addition to strongly condemning the attack, the ministry further highlighted the ongoing violations of international law by Israel.
Indonesia has consistently voiced its support for a diplomatic settlement and denounced Israel’s hostile actions towards Palestine.
