Earlier this year, it was rumoured that the upcoming Redmi K60 Ultra might be getting 100W charging. However, a new listing on the 3C database suggests that the Ultra, bearing the model number 23078RKD5C, instead supports a significantly faster 120W charging speed using a Xiaomi MDY-14-ED charger.
This isn’t a surprise given how the K60 Pro comes with 120W wired charging support as well. Interestingly, the Pro also has 30W wireless charging, but it remains to be seen if it will be retained in the Ultra. That being said, it wouldn’t make sense for a higher-end device within the same lineup to lack the feature.
According to previous reports, the Redmi K60 Ultra could run on the Dimensity 9200 chipset from MediaTek, replacing last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. It is also expected to sport a 6.67-inch OLED display with a high refresh rate of 144Hz with a triple-camera setup on the back.
Leaked schematics of the phone show that it will have a centred punch-hole cutout on the screen for the selfie camera as well as a flat display and flat sides. It is predicted to launch soon but no exact date has been officially confirmed. While it could be a China-exclusive offering, there is a possibility that it might be rebadged as the Xiaomi 13T Pro for the global market.
