Nothing May Have A Smartwatch In The Pipeline

The Nothing Phone (2) is set to be unveiled next month, with the brand pushing its transparent shell visual gimmick even to the charging cables. But while the company’s next phone and its charging cable may be where most are aiming their spotlights at, the company may have another product in the wearables category waiting to be unveiled.

Industry leakster Mukul Sharma has shared on Twitter the discovery of a product in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database. Registered under the brand CMF By Nothing, and with the model number of D395, it has a product name filed under “Smart Watches”. Which is a pretty straightforward indication as to what this may end up being if or when it gets officially announced.

For now, nothing much else is known about this supposed Nothing watch. One can imagine that it will sport a similar transparent shell aesthetic that is prominent throughout the rest of the brand. Beyond that, there’s no indication as to what sort of hardware it will be running, what sort of software it would have out of the box, and which price bracket it will be in.

Naturally, there’s also no indication as to when this Nothing Watch, if it will really be called that, will be launched officially. But consider the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event looks to have more than just the foldables to announce as most were expecting. With that in mind, the launch of the Phone (2) may also host some surprise guests. Of course, this will likely end up just as wishful thinking on our part. But either way, even the listing in the BIS database should be taken with a pinch of salt for now.
