Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets enter Monday night with a chance to win the first championship in franchise history. All that is standing in the way is Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat. But given how Denver has played through the first four games of the series, it would seemingly be an upset if Miami could push things to a Game 6, let alone win three straight. The two-man team of Jokic and Jamal Murray has wreaked havoc on the Heat defense, and even when Miami manages to slow Denver’s two bets players, the Nuggets have gotten timely contributions from players like Aaron Gordon, Bruce Brown, Christian Braun and Jeff Green. Of course, a team led by Butler and head coach Erik Spoelstra can never be counted out, but it’s going to be a Herculean task to keep the Nuggets from raising the Larry O’Brien Trophy some time this week.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. The NBA began awarding the NBA Finals MVP in 1969, and if and when Denver does take home the chip, Jokic would undoubtedly take home the Finals MVP Award. So with that in mind, how many of the winners since then can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
