Paytm has now introduced UPI Lite for iPhone users. Paytm CEO and founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma has announced that Paytm Payments Bank is the first to introduce UPI Lite on iOS. Along with this, the Bank also announced its latest features like RuPay Credit Card on UPI, Split Bill, pin favorite contact and chat with friends, set alternate UPI ID with Paytm app to hide mobile number, and more.
Paytm UPI Lite now on iOS
Paytm Payments Bank recently announced UPI interoperability, with which the Bank enables users to send and receive money instantly to any mobile number with a registered UPI ID across platforms using the Paytm app. The company claims that UPI Lite is a faster mode of transaction and it will also perfrom well during peak transaction hours. This UPI Lite feature is now available for the iOS users as well.
RuPay Credit Card on UPI
With RuPay Credit Card on UPI, the Bank has enabled users to link their RuPay credit card to an UPI ID on the Paytm app. Users can then simply pay by scanning the UPI-enabled QR code via Paytm app, eliminating the need to carry cards all the time. Users don’t have to wait for OTP SMS, they can just pay with your UPI PIN.
Users who possess a RuPay credit card can conveniently make payments through UPI and earn reward points. Additionally, they can pin their preferred contacts or engage in chat sessions with friends on the Paytm app. The app now comes equipped with a Split Bill feature that allows users to form friend groups and divide expenses among the members. Moreover, users can tag their transactions on Paytm and effortlessly retrieve all payments made under a specific tag whenever they desire.
