Google has started rolling out ChromeOS M110 updates to its users. The updated desktop operating system from Google brings several new improvements, tweaks and changes. The company has also listed down the complete list of changes the ChromeOS 110 brings on its official support page. Here are all the changes that the update brings.
Launch search autocomplete redesign
ChromeOS 110 comes with an improved Launcher search autocomplete redesign. The company says that the redesigned autocomplete brings improved user experience and offers robust auto-completion for mistyped and misspelled queries, clear search result categories for selected results and a more intuitive selection experience with keyboard navigation.
Updated Diagnostic app
The updated Diagnostic app now includes keyboard tests as a user-facing routine. It allows users to check that every key on their keyboard is working properly.
Select-to-speak improvements
With ChromeOS 110 update users can now start Select-to-speak from the context menu (right-click menu) of the selected text. Google has also updated the instructions shown when hovering over the icon. Select-to-speak can now automatically change the language to match the content selected by the user, so that words will be pronounced correctly in that language, without the user having to manually change the voice settings.
Feedback tool refresh
Chromebooks will now have an updated Feedback tool that allows users to share their issues, concerns and suggestions with Google.
Channel Labeling on ChromeOS
Google has also introduced Channel Labeling on ChromeOS for users on non-stable channels. This includes Beta, Dev and Canary builds. With this, users will be able to see which channel they are on right next to the battery icon at the bottom of the screen.
