Dipika Chikhlia, who rose to fame with the rerun of her popular show Ramayan during the lockdown, is being slammed for photos she posted on her social media handle today (May 22).

The popular actress can be seen with her friends in the picture sporting a white shirt, skirt, sneakers and a necktie. It’s seemingly taken at a theme party as her friends are also sporting a similar look.

In fact, Dipika captioned the photos as, “Off to school on a Sunday.”

While Dipika looks happy socialising with her friends, the photos have not gone down well with her fans who call her ‘Sita Ma‘. They expressed their disappointment with her attire and the drink in her hand.

One wrote, “Ye Apka Khon Sa Avtar Hai…? Sorry, Dekh Kar Bilkul bhi Acha Nahi Laga…(Which is this avatar of yours? Sorry, but I didn’t like it at all).” Another commented, “Maa ye aapne Haath me kaunsi drink le rakhi hai 😢 (Maa, which drink are you holding in your hand)?”

There’s a user who shared, “Aapko aise kpde nhi pehnne chaiye dipikaji hamne aapko devi ka drja diya hua h so (You shouldn’t wear such clothes, we have given you the status of a Goddess).”

Dipika Chikhlia is quite active on social media. She loves to share glimpses of her life – professional and personal – to her fans. This is the first time such criticism has come her way from her admirers on social media.
