The 2022 NFL QB carousel continued on Monday, with Matt Ryan becoming the latest franchise signal-caller to find himself on a new team. 

Last week, the Atlanta Falcons went all-in in their pursuit of Deshaun Watson, at one point looking like the favorite for his services. Instead, Watson chose Cleveland, leaving ATL to deal with the fallout with Ryan. Initially, it looked as if the Falcons would try and “smooth things over” with the 36-year-old former MVP, likely with a new contract extension. But they kept fielding calls for Ryan, and the Colts, which just jettisoned their starting QB off of the roster, took the bait. As for the Falcons, they do not have a QB succession plan in place. So any QB looking for a new gig in 2022 will now suddenly shift his attention to the Dirty Birds.
