Paul Stuart Spring 2022

Paulette Garafalo, CEO, and President of Paul Stuart says, “This new collection of spring silhouettes signals good times ahead for our customers. We know that they will be happy to refresh their wardrobes with these contemporary styles for both work and leisure.”

The new collection from Paul Stuart is a complete wardrobe for the well-dressed man this summer.

The new tailored collection Belair features light as air silk and linen suits with a soft shoulder. In a sophisticated palette of pearl grays, creams, khaki, and camel colors, Creative Designer Ralph Auriemma pairs these with solid white shirts and silk ties in soft colors. Unusual silhouettes and fabrics include a linen Nehru jacket and a Japanese fabric made from technical wool that keeps it from wrinkling. Trousers are in silk and linen in white, gray, and khaki to coordinate with the jackets. “They lend a soft sensibility to the garments,” says Auriemma. “ We also have a new Japanese technical seersucker fabric for a very drapey light feel in off-white/khaki and light blue.”

Auriemma was inspired by warm-weather activities for this collection. He says, “There are soft shoulders in the silk and cotton sports jackets. These are paired with silk and linen trousers in pale blue, gray, and pink and exclusive to Paul Stuart, a new contemporary glen plaid with soft pink and blue windowpane check fabric in Italian cashmere tailored as a jacket.”

For formal occasions, there’s a lightweight wool, single-breasted cream-colored shawl dinner jacket with mother of pearl buttons to wear with pearl-gray trousers. In a tuxedo, there’s a black, super 150’s tropical weight wool with a satin-covered lapel with a satin-covered button.

Sometimes New York in the summer can feel like it’s a jungle. The humidity alone is enough to make a man turn to clothing that’s designed for a luxury safari. Knowing this and inspired by the colors of the desert, Auriemma provides a wardrobe of style with lots of linen shirts, sweaters, and pants in khaki and cream. Accessories spice up the palette with four lightweight cashmere and silk jewel-toned scarves, Panama straw hats with wide brims keep the sun away. And of course, there’s a safari jacket that’s inspired by vintage versions that are made in Italy from the finest suede and microfiber fabrics.

When it finally cools off, there are tailored jackets that look rugged in glen plaid linen with suede trim to wear over mandarin collar linen shirts with paisley printed linen trousers. Made in Ireland, there are short sleeve linen polo shirts that are almost like sweaters with a bit of heft to them that pair with garment-washed and dyed shorts.

Paulette Garafalo, CEO, and President of Paul Stuart says, “This new collection of spring silhouettes signals good times ahead for our customers. We know that they will be happy to refresh their wardrobes with these contemporary styles for both work and leisure.”

The summer collection is designed for stylish outdoor living. “It’s versatile sportswear for our active customer’s modern lifestyle,” says Auriemma. “Paul Stuart has always been known for their liberal use of bright color in their designs. This collection is no exception.”

The Destination Hamptons collection is designed for wherever you are headed this summer. Perfectly suited for outdoor activities and celebrations like weddings, sporting events, and get-togethers. Rainbow colors are used throughout especially for cotton pique polos and garment-washed chinos. It’s hard to choose just one of these brightly colored cotton pants in yellow, indigo blue, lavender, and pink. The unlined palm print sports jacket lends itself to finishing the look with easy patch pockets and lightweight cotton.

“You can have fun with these styles. They are garment-washed for comfort and feature a great range of color that reflects the vibrancy of the season. Paul Stuart has always been known for color and while customers often think of Paul Stuart in the Fall, it’s summer that when the brand’s use of bold color really shines.” says Garafalo. There’s even a white boucle knitted jacket that compliments the bold color and casual silhouettes for special occasions.
