While fellow rookie pass-catchers such as Ja’Marr Chase, DeVonta Smith and Kyle Pitts have seemingly received more coverage in the media this season, Miami Dolphins first-year sensation Jaylen Waddle has arguably been the best of that bunch through Week 13. Among rookies, his 849 receiving yards are second to only Chase, and his reception total jumps off the page. He has 86 so far this season, 29 more than the next closest rookie. He’s also on pace for 112 catches, which would break the current rookie record mark by 11. Miami gave up a fair amount of draft capital to move and select Waddle, and it appears that may pay off. The 23-year-old out of Alabama looks like he’ll be a superstar in this league for many years to come.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. In NFL history, 26 players, including Waddle, have caught 70 or more balls during their rookie seasons. So with that in mind, how many NFL players with the most catches as a rookie can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
