NEW DELHI: Tata Motors on Monday unveiled its entry-level SUV Punch, which will be available in four trims in both Manual (MT) and Automatic (AMT) transmission options.
Bookings have commenced for a token of Rs 21,000 and the launch, price reveal are expected by mid-October.
Tata Motors is offering 7 colour options with Punch. Built on the Agile Light Flexible Advanced (ALFA) Architecture, the Punch incorporates several industry first-innovations like tall stance, high-ground clearance (187 mm), class-leading comfort, infotainment with connectivity suite.
The AMT variant comes with TractionPro Mode. Brake Sway Control detects the tendency of instability during abrupt braking before the ABS kicks in to avoid vehicle swaying from the driving path. Punch gets Altroz-like 90-degree opening doors for easy ingress egress.
The 1.2L Revotron BS6 engine comes with latest Dyna-Pro technology and is paired with either an AMT or 5-speed manual transmission. City and eco drive modes, idle start-stop and cruise control come with the engine. Punch has a water wading capacity of 370 mm.
The top trim of Punch rides on R16 diamond-cut alloys, features projector headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), signature LED Tail Lamps, SUV design with cladding on doors, wheel arches and roof rails.
In terms of features, Punch offers auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers, push button start, adjustable driver seat, auto foldable ORVM, steering mounted control, 7-inch Harman Infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, 7-inch TFT cluster and connected car tech.
