Microsoft is all set to launch its Windows 11 operating system next week on October 5. Ahead of the official release, the company has revealed the features and pricing of Office 2021. The latest client software package will be released along Windows 11. Office 2021 will be a standalone version for businesses and users who don’t want to deal with a Microsoft 365 subscription.
When it comes to upgrades most of the apps in the package will now have a redesigned look, more stock images, search box for commands, performance improvements, updated draw tab, support for OpenDocument format (ODF) 1.3 and many more. All the apps have also got some additional features that are limited to that particular workspace only. The company has also announced that real-time co-authoring will be available in the desktop apps which means you can work on the same document with other people, as long as the document is stored on OneDrive.
The Office Home and Student 2021 will include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Microsoft Teams for PC and Mac. It is priced at $149.99. Office Home and Business 2021 is priced at $249.99 and will include all the apps in Office Home and Student along with Outlook and rights to use all the apps for business purposes.
Before the official launch, the preview build seems to be the final version of Windows 11. The build is already available for all Windows Insider users, they just have to switch from Beta or Dev to Preview on Windows 10. This will help users to get a free copy of the Windows 11 before the official release. To check if your device is compatible with the Windows 11 operating system, you can read through the minimum requirements mentioned by the company or you can use the Microsoft PC Health Check app.
