JAKARTA, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) — The number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 1,414 in the past 24 hours to 4,218,142, with the death toll adding by 89 to 142,115, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.
According to the ministry, 2,380 more recovered COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries from the pandemic in the Southeast Asian country to 4,042,215.
To date, at least 52.58 million people in the country have received two shots of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 93.51 million have taken their first dose, the ministry said.
The Indonesian government aims to inoculate 208.26 million people against the coronavirus epidemic in the country.
