NEW DELHI: The Kashmir Valley saw three separate terrorist attacks on Saturday, resulting in a civilian being killed and another injured, police said.
In The Karan Nagar area of Srinagar, terrorists fired at a civilian, injuring him critically. He was taken to the nearby SMHS hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.
He was identified as Majid Ahmed, a resident of the Chattabal area of the city.
Also in Srinagar, terrorists opened fire at another person, identified as Mohammad Shafi Dar, in the Batamaloo area. Dar received critical gunshot injuries and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, the official said.
Cases have been registered for both incidents.
In the third attack, terrorists hurled a grenade towards 40 Battalion CRPF bunker at K P Road in the south Kashmir district. The incident took place around 6:50 in the evening.
The grenade missed the target and exploded nearby, another police official said. There were no injuries.
