The Denver Nuggets have been criticized in the past for not spending the money necessary to keep the core of their best teams together, but that won’t be an issue for this current squad. Two weeks ago, Denver locked up 26-year-old Aaron Gordon to a four-year, $92M deal. This week, they signed 23-year-old Michael Porter Jr. to a five-year max extension reportedly in the neighborhood of $172.5M. With Jamal Murray already singed long-term and reigning MVP Nikola Jokic now eligible for a supermax deal after this year, the Nuggets are primed to remain a problem out west for the foreseeable future.
