AirAsia Offers A Free Domestic Return Flight For Unlimited Pass Holders

[ad_1]

AirAsia has announced that it is offering a free return flight to Langkawi or any domestic destination for all holders of its Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Unlimited Pass. This initiative arrives not long after the government’s decision to lift interstate travel restrictions once 90% of the country’s adult population are fully vaccinated.

According to the company, the move is aimed at rewarding its customers for their continuous support amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, it added that the initiative also acts as compensation for “the missed travel opportunities” caused by quarantine restrictions imposed over the past year.

To recap, AirAsia introduced the Unlimited Pass for its BIG Members in 2020, with an international-based pass launched in February and a domestic “Cuti-Cuti Malaysia” pass arriving a few months later in June of the same year. However, timing wasn’t in the airline’s favour as the former debuted not long before the first implementation of the Movement Control Order in Malaysia, while the latter was announced in conjunction with the resumption of domestic travel at that time (which obviously didn’t fall through in the end).

AirAsia says that a promotional code for the free return flight will be handed out to all BIG members who’ve purchased the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Unlimited Pass via email. Users may redeem the code through the AirAsia BIG official website, or by using the airasia Super App on mobile devices. The booking period for the flight starts from 27 September until 27 December this year, while the travel period can be set between 11 October 2021 to 30 June 2022. Being domestic-based, the airline notes that only AK flights are allowed for redemption for now.

The airline had previously announced back in August that it is ready to fly again, noting that both its crew and frontline staff are 100% vaccinated and ready to serve both customers and passengers alike. At the same time, it also revealed that numerous contactless safety and hygiene measures have been established in order to ensure the safety of its guests.
