For the upcoming half of 2021, Nokia has announced three new phones in the XR20, C30 and 6310. Each is aimed at a different consumer segment but maintains the core philosophy of the brand.
Nokia XR20
The Nokia XR20 is built for conditions far harsher than the tumble of everyday life. It can withstand extreme temperatures, 1.8m drops, 1 hour under water and more. This is thanks to its IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810H compliance. Despite this endurance, its design is sleek and timeless.
On the front, you find a 6.67-inch 2,400 x 1,080 resolution IPS LCD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Here, you will interact with Android 11 giving you the promise of four years of monthly security updates and three years of OS upgrades.
Other hardware includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chip with 6GB of RAM, a 48MP + 13MP dual camera setup with Zeiss optics and a 4,630mAh battery supporting 18W wired and 15W wireless charging.
Nokia C30
To tackle the increasing demand for large screen smartphones, the Nokia C30 one-ups the current C-series lineup with a 6.82-inch 1,600 x 720 resolution IPS LCD display.
It offers a durable poly-carbonate build with a large 6,000mAh battery capable of provided up to three days of work on a single charge.
Nokia 6310
The Nokia 6310 is a classic re-imagined for today’s connected user. It brings you advanced accessibility, optimised ergonomics and weeks of battery life.
You find larger push buttons and an ample display for easy use in combination with the new zoomed-in menus.
Pricing and availability
The flagship Nokia XR20 will be available for Dh1,849 starting in September 2021 whereas the Nokia C30 will retail for Dh449 starting in August 2021. Details on local pricing and availability for the Nokia 6310 are yet to be announced.
