Actor Anupam Kher is basking in the success of filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ as the film crossed the 100 crore mark in 7 days and recorded the second-highest collection on the second Friday.

Celebrating the milestone, the actor took to his social media handles and dropped a video of his mother Dulari who gets emotional over the unprecedented success of the film that narrates the plight of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990.

In the video, the actor’s mother recalled how her younger brother who was in Kashmir was forced to leave the valley in the middle of the night and later died in the incident. She said in Hindi, “The film has been well made. If there was anything wrong, people wouldn’t have watched it. This film has its own fate. Whatever is shown happened to us, so many of us.”

Sharing the video, Anupam further tweeted, “कुछ लोग अभी भी है कश्मीरी हिन्दुओं की त्रासदी के साथ पॉलिटिक्स करना चाहते हैं। ये रहा मेरी माँ की आपबीती का एक अंश है।उनका ग़ुस्सा और उनके भाई की मृत्यु का दुख अभी भी उनकी आँखों में झलकता है। कृपया पूरा इंटरव्यू देखिए मेरे इंस्टाग्राम पे| (Some people still want to do politics with the tragedy of Kashmiri Hindus.
