“Discovering the Beatitudes after 10 years as a young Christian, I began a study which has lasted over 50 years, collecting stories, examples, life-experiences, and related scriptures,” said Hopper.

Tony Hopper and his wife Iva Kate live on Iva Kate’s family’s farm in Alabama, just south of Montgomery. They have two children and five grandchildren. Retired now, they previously operated a working beef cattle operation for forty years, simultaneously running a site work and grading company. Hopper earned his B.S. from David Lipscomb University and his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. He has taught church leaders and schools of preaching, as well as college courses in mathematics, data communications and computer science. Hopper is the author of Dearest Darling, It’s Been a Long, Long Time: Love Letters from World War II; and of Fourth-Quarter Fishing: A Memoir of an Engineer’s International Mission Trips.
