TJC / ISKCON Partnership

“The coloration with ISKCON was both humbling and eye opening. I am proud to have been able to contribute to the amazing work they do every day. Refugee Day is an important day for us to mark as it helps raise the needed awareness for these people fleeing their homes and countries.”

TJC is a British falling-price auction-style home shopping channel and online retailer specialising in jewellery, home, beauty, fashion, gemstones, and other lifestyle accessories.

For every single item ordered by TJC Customers, they donate a meal to a hungry child – in India and in the UK too. One of TJC’s founding principles is to do the right thing and their Your Purchase Feeds programme ensures they do just that. To date, TJC have delivered over thirty million meals to give children the encouragement to attend school and give them the energy to succeed.

The 20th of June each year marks Refugee Day, a day to honour the brave and courageous refugees forced to leave their homes and countries to find a safe sanctuary.

In light of the heart-breaking news of the war in Ukraine TJC have come together with ISKCON to help provide water and food to the refugees affected by the Humanitarian Crisis. TJC had the opportunity to travel to Budapest in Hungary, a country that borders Ukraine to witness first hand to see how TJC are supporting the people & communities affected by the conflict.

Managing Director of Shop TJC Ltd., Mr. Srikant Jha, commented, “TJC believe everyone has the right to seek safety no matter who they are or wherever they have had to flee from. We are proud to be helping and making a difference and would like to thank our customers for helping us donate meals to hungry children and refugees.” Mr. Jha continued, “The collaboration with ISKCON was both humbling and eye opening. I am proud to have been able to contribute to the amazing work they do every day. Refugee Day is an important day for us to mark as it helps raise the needed awareness for these people fleeing their homes and countries.”
