Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin starrer ‘Looop Lapeta’ was released on OTT platforms today. Falling prey to piracy, the film has been leaked online and is reportedly available for free download on several notorious websites. ‘Looop Lapeta’ was available for download on websites within hours of its release.

Directed by Aakash Bhatia, ‘Looop Lapeta’ is an official Hindi remake of German movie ‘Run Lola Run’ (1998). This film narrates the story of Saavi, essayed by Taapsee, who fights all odds and races against time to save the life of her boyfriend Satya, played by Tahir.

Interestingly, before playing the role of a former athlete in ‘Looop Lapeta’, Taapsee essayed the role of a sprinter in ‘Rashmi Rocket‘. Speaking about both the films helping her performance, Taapsee had told IANS, “It so happened that I had to do Rashmi’s sprinting scenes that are the races and immediately after that I had to jump into running portions of ‘Looop Lapeta’ in Goa. So it organically aligned itself in a way that my training for ‘Rashmi Rocket’ was utilised here without injuring myself because I was running on surfaces like footpaths and roads for this film. ‘Rashmi Rocket’ involved professional running on tracks which is a safer medium to run on. I am glad that I finished Rashmi’s portion of running before I jumped into this. The script was written in a way where Rashmi finished and ‘Looop Lapeta’ began.”
