Must Read

Ryan Ficken is moving from the NFC to the AFC.

The Arizona State alum started his coaching career with three years as a graduate assistant at UCLA from 2004 to 2006. Ficken first joined the Vikings as their assistant running backs coach in 2007 and 2008, before serving as the team’s assistant wide receivers coach from 2009 to 2012.

Ficken was then named Minnesota’s assistant special teams coach in 2013 and held that role for eight seasons. The Chargers’ new hire was then promoted to the Vikings’ special teams coordinator and had that role last season.

Los Angeles is coming off of a 9-8 season and their third straight year missing the playoffs.
