During their meeting, Shoukry and Lavrov will discuss furthering development of bilateral cooperation in various fields including political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian aspects.
Shoukry held a meeting with Lavrov earlier this month on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to discuss bilateral relations and recent international and regional issues.
Lavrov embarked on an official visit to Cairo in April and held meetings with President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Shoukry. The meetings tackled the Middle East peace process and the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) dispute between Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia.
Discussions between Lavrov and El-Sisi also discussed the Libyan crisis and enhancing Egyptian-Russian relations.
In August, Moscow resumed direct flights to the Egyptian Red Sea resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada, ending a hiatus of six years over security concerns.
