Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy should be the superhero team game fans have been waiting for. This is Square Enix and Eidos Montreal’s another attempt at making a Marvel game click, after the mixed reviews Marvel’s Avengers got. Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled for release on October 26 and prior to that, two new trailers for the game have arrived, one of which focuses on combat in the game and the other on exploration.
As far as combat goes, you can control the whole team with the help of Star-Lord, the self-professed leader of the group. We would have liked the game’s allure more had it got multiplayer in which five friends could jump in and take control of Rocket, Drax, Gamora, Groot and Star-Lord individually but that’s not the case here. Rocket will be the firearms and explosive specialist of the group, while Drax is the wrecking ball, one who could charge in first against the enemies. Groot’s vines can immobilise enemies and he can also revive his teammates. Gamora’s attacks would be high precision ones, focusing on more damage to a single enemy, while Star-Lord can use a variety of attacks in melee and ranged mode.

Another trailer shows some of the areas and regions the band of misfits can explore, and this includes some of the iconic locations from the Marvel Universe. You can start off with exploring Milano, your home.
There are around 40 sets of outfits to choose from for your characters. During the game, you will earn points and can spend them on power and weapon upgrades.
