The Tourism and Antiquities Ministry is preparing the final touches for the exhibition “Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs”, set to open in November at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Texas.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mostafa Waziri, visited the hall dedicated to the exhibition at the museum to follow up on the ongoing preparations.

The tour included a visit to the hall in which the exhibition is scheduled to be held, which has an area of 3,000 square meters, two exhibition booths, induction and guiding panels, and the applicable security and precautionary measures.

Waziri stressed that this tour came to follow up on the procedures necessary to hold the exhibition, which he said would serve to advertise and highlight the wonders of Egyptian civilization.

His ministry is eager to organize the exhibition in an optimal way, he said, by properly displaying the artifacts there and promoting Egyptian tourist destinations abroad.

The Egyptian cabinet agreed to hold the exhibition in four cities, including two cities in the US then Paris, France and Sydney in Australia.

The head of the Museums Sector at the ministry Moamen Othman said that the exhibition includes 181 artifacts.

These showcase distinctive characteristics of ancient Egyptian civilization, especially from the middle to late eras, through a group of statues, ornaments, cosmetics, paintings, stone blocks decorated with inscriptions and statues of deities shaped after birds and animals, in addition to colored wooden coffins.
