Last season, the Los Angeles Dodgers won their first World Series in over three decades, and nearly 100 games into this season, they have a commanding lead in the NL Wild Card race. But not everything is hunky-dory in La La Land, particularly with the bullpen. Three-time All-Star Kenley Jansen has struggled to close out games recently, blowing two straight saves versus the NL West-leading San Francisco Giants, no less. The Dodger faithful let Jansen hear it following Wednesday’s blown save, much to the dismay of manager Dave Roberts. “He was looking forward to pitching at home. And so for it to not go well — yeah, I’m disappointed to hear [the boos]. Certainly. He’s not gonna say it, but I am.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. In MLB history, 30 pitchers have amassed 300 or more saves over the course of their careers, including Jansen, who has 333 as of this writing. So with that in mind, how many of the 30 can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
