While Sony has recently revealed the pricing of the Xperia 1 III for Malaysia, the company didn’t provide any other details regarding the flagship phone’s arrival into our market. That has changed today as Xperia 1 III is now officially available for pre-order in Malaysia.

To entice consumers to get their hands on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888-based phone, Sony Malaysia is offering the WF-1000XM3 true wireless earbuds to pre-order customers. This offer actually mirrored the one that Sony has done for the phone’s predecessor, Xperia 1 II back in October last year.

For the benefit of those who are not familiar with the phone, the Xperia 1 III which was first announced to the world in April, also carries a 6.5-inch 4K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It also comes standard with 12GB of RAM, 256GB internal storage, and pre-installed with Android 11.

Photography-wise, the Xperia 1 III relies on three 12MP Exmor RS sensors within its rear camera module that are paired with ZEISS 24mm f/1.7 main lens and 16mm f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens as well as 70mm f/2.3 -105mm f/2.8 telephoto lens. The phone also comes with an 8MP selfie camera and a 4500mAh battery.

In case you missed the pricing from our previous report, the Xperia 1 III will be made available in Malaysia for RM 5,799. Pre-order is open until 15 August while Sony Malaysia is expecting to deliver the phone to customers starting from 20 August onwards.
