We had a wonderful Brunch & Stay experience at Al Habtoor Polo Resort. My wife and I checked-in on a Thursday and during this Dubai staycation, we spent most of our time in the resort swimming pool. Al Habtoor Polo Resort is an equestrian-inspired resort and is located in Dubai Land, just about half an hour’s drive from the airport.

It has been a while since we had a staycation in the UAE. The current situation has really challenged a lot of us and businesses in the country are adapting to the safety measures imposed by the government. However, we are glad that Dubai is open so under the health guidelines, we can still travel and go out in the emirate.

Staycation Experience at Al Habtoor Polo Resort in Dubailand
The Brunch & Stay package we booked was for a couple’s overnight stay with brunch and breakfast, all for AED 699. For us, this was a very good deal already, especially when the brunch experience costs AED 295 per person.
Check-in was quick and we got to our room in no time. The building has only a maximum of 3-floors.

Horse Sculptures and Paintings
The resort structure is surrounded by lush and expansive green lawns and it features exudes a sophisticated and timeless Andalusian-themed design.
One thing you will also notice is the number of horse accents in the form of paintings and sculptures that make it quite fun as you stroll along its corridors. After all, the resort is also a polo resort and club.

Deluxe Polo View Room
Our room was a Deluxe Room which includes a balcony with a view of the Polo Garden. There’s a comfortable king-size bed, flat-screen TV, high-tech controls for the lights and AC, mini bar, and other amenities.
At 37 square meters, the room offers ample space to relax. Plus points for having a footbed sofa bench, a reading chair, and comfortable seats on the balcony.

Bathroom
The bathroom is very posh and elegant with marble tiles surrounding the bathtub, walk-in shower, his and her vanity sink, and also a separate toilet and bidet.
The faucets and shower handles are made of brass which adds another touch of luxury against the marble walls. I am reminded of a few hotels we’ve stayed in the past such as Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa and Al Seef Heritage Hotel Dubai with these distinct bathroom fixtures.

Balcony View
The balcony is also spacious and offers great views of the manicured lawns. You can also see the backdrop of the Dubai skyline; although, at the time, the visibility was not clear.

WiFi Internet
Internet is free. After you log in to your room with your details. The speed at the time was 8.08 Mbps which was enough for me to browse emails and work on social media postings.

We had our breakfast and brunch at Andalucia restaurant. Andalucia has such a grand setting and takes us back to our trip to Fez, Morocco because of its high ceiling and the water fountain.

Swimming Pool
The pool is where we spent most of our time during our staycation. Even if it may not be huge, the pool is quite charming in its design. It exudes a tropical lagoon vibe due to the green-colored tiles, the plants, and the palm trees.
They also have an outdoor jacuzzi that overlooks the polo garden. The sunbeds are nicely set near the pool area where you can relax and enjoy the view. We maximized our time lounging in this area to beat the Dubai summer heat.

Staying in Al Habtoor Polo Resort was a nice escape as it’s been a while since we checked in a resort. The place is isolated and you will feel like you’re on a ‘getaway’ far from the busy city even if the drive isn’t.
Do check it out if you’re looking for a peaceful spot for a nice retreat. If you’re lucky, you can also watch some polo practice from your balcony.
